Harmony Fest!’25 is happening at Singapore Sports Hub over the weekend, and it’s packed with family-friendly fun. There’s a Harmony Walk with performances along the way, hands-on cultural activities like tea appreciation and batik-making and a lively stage with music and dance by school groups and community performers. Food-wise, expect classic faves like laksa and satay. Register here.

SYNC. Festival is all about highlighting wellbeing, be it for your body or mind. There are some fab activities for the family, including a casual 3km Fam Walk ($15/pax) through greenery that’s open to participants aged 3 and above. It’s for a good cause, too: for every kilometre completed, $10 will be donated to the Tzu-Chi Foundation (Singapore)! If you’ve got older teens, bring them (and perhaps yourself) to take part in the Youth Quest ($20/pax) for ages 15 to 35. There are seven stations with fun challenges and prizes ot be won! Give the kiddos a weekend to remember at the new Pop Air exhibition by the Balloon Museum! With large-scale inflatable installations, interactive artworks and lots of baubles and balloons, the kids are surely going to enjoy this one! If you’ve got fans of Paw Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora at home, here’s your cue to bring them over to the Nickelodeon PlayFest. It’s the largest inflatable playground we’ve seen just yet–comprising three themed zones in one mega-inflatable. Kids can do everything from slide, bounce and climb between Paw Patrol vehicles, Bikini Bottom’s townspeople and Dora’s jungly adventure. Part of the World of Blocks playground also still stands, so there’s a great ball pit, slides and jungle gym the kids will love, too! If your little one needs to take a breather from all that running and jumping, there’s also a slime corner, plus character meet-and-greets. We’re sad to see Miffy and friends go, after the Miffy takeover of Changi Airport! If you’re wondering what to do this weekend in Singapore, bring the kids over to Miffy’s Beach Party Bounce, a giant inflatable ball pit and slide at Terminal 3. The Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay has turned into a dinosaur park! Gallery Children’s Biennale opens this weekend at National Gallery Singapore. Kids can explore eight multi-sensory installations, all surrounding the theme “Tomorrow, We’ll Be…”. It’s all about Joy, Kindness, Love and Dream and is designed for kids of all ages. In fact, it’s the first time all installations are baby-friendly. Does your kiddo love fire engines? Did you know you can take them to see a working Fire Station on the weekend for free? Selected Fire Stations are open for visits on Saturday mornings over two time slots – 9am to 9:50am or 10am to 10:50am. Both timeslots are guided tours. Tots will love this experience where they can learn about the cool Emergency Vehicles and their capabilities, watch a demo on donning the full firefighting protective gear, and see how the equipment is used (nothing beats seeing those massive sprays in person!).

Bring your little animal lovers to interact with animals at petting zoos and animal farms in Singapore. After a three-year closure, Big Sister’s Island is now reopened! Bring the kids for a weekend of snorkelling and exploring the natural beauty of the island. Did you know that you can hire out free Giant Chess sets from Sports Hub if you book ahead? Make it a family game. It’s brainpower, and a physical workout, as you will have to use both your hands and feet to make the chess pieces move. Wondering what to do this weekend in Singapore? Geocaching involves finding treasures (called geocaches) hidden by fellow geocachers–you find the clues to where each treasure is hidden using the GPS on your mobile phone. All you’ll need to do is download the Geocaching app (the basic access is free), look for a geocache near you and start hunting. Once you find the treasure (which is often a small waterproof container containing a piece of paper where those who found it can write their name) you rehide it in the same place and log your find on the app. Geocaching is a fun way to get the kids out in nature and explore your neighbourhood.

Borealis at Gardens by the Bay is a free immersive light and sound installation at Supertree Grove created by Switzerland-based artist Dan Ache. Using layers of light and cloud particles, the magical splendour of the Northern Lights is recreated. Borealis happens on Mondays and the weekend only (timing below) and is in addition to the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show, where the lights on the Supertrees dance to a changing musical soundtrack that takes place daily at 7.45pm and 8.45pm.
